Today a quick Email for your prayers.
Our staff has been able since the students left early May to paint almost the whole main building inside and outside. We pray that the will be able to finish the job before the new school year.
A very joyful and encouraging time is every Monday afternoon. With our 3 staff couples we are reviewing the marriage workshop we did last year with our coworkers from Turkey. We realize how much we have forgotten already. It is a joy to see how the Lord has been molding all of us over the last years and it is our desire to use the materials also with other people in the community and with the alumni. As some of them are newly wedds and others are struggling in their marriage relationships. We believe that our singleness or marriages are the basis for our Christian life and we should do everything that they prosper and glorify Jesus.
Mid May the pump in one of our wells broke and we spend a lot of time and effort to fix it but we had to surrender and accept that the life span is 10 to 12 years and ours is already 14 years in service. Because of Covid-19 we could not go to the next city to look for a replacement so we ordered one online and hope that it would fit. Everything is such a hassle at the moment. The cost is about 700 USD. We pray that the pump will arrive first week of July. We are glad that it is raining almost daily so that we have enough water for laundry and shower.
We got already 4 applications for the new school year. Please pray with us for more students. If you know young people, college graduates or senior high graduates encourage them to pray if God wants them to come to us to get prepared for a most exiting life in his service.
Our coworkers Marylan and Ghaga are now translating the book and making good progress. They are also reviewing a text book that has a difficult translation and encoding it into the computer because we had only a hard copy in bad shape as our master copy.
We hope to start classes on July 21. The only challenge might be travel restrictions from the government. Pray that our students would get the needed certificates or that the restrictions would be lifted. Otherwise we trust that God would give us wisdom how to proceed.
Amos and Asaf are almost done with their school year. It looks like we will not get a tutor for them for next school year. This will be challenging but God is also in control of all of this. Thank you for your prayers.
God bless you all. Thank you for standing with us in prayer!
